No trading with bw/b2w2.

Unobtainable pokemon in main game zone. Accessing other zones requires micro transactions or large amounts of data to be downloaded.

Pokemons 3d sprites are glitchy and share move animations with several different pokemon some of which look completely different.

Obviously I don't believe that Fennekin becoming Fire/Fighting would be the wooorst, but it would be utter bullshit if it happened. If I can't get my pokemon from Black & White I will be pretty unhappy.

But seriously, I hope the games aren't super slow. And a few new evolutions of old Pokémon, a few legendaries, and maybe even a couple pre-evolutions don't hurt, but don't go the Sinnoh route where that's 3/4 of the dex.

Id say realistic worse case scenario is that the game is released and doesn't do well for whatever reason and everything new they tried gets scraped in future games. Worst would be if 3D graphics scare some people away, look unpolished, or are visually buggy and forces them to never do anything other than sprites again.

DLC can't be done right, ever. It's pretty much the biggest problem with modern gaming, the way I see it, anyway. Developers don't have to sell full games anymore, they can just make half a game and sell you the rest later.

This may be true, because all retconned fairies have a low speed to outspeed a regular dragon.
If steel weakness is true, garchomp with iron head will be dangerous for fairies than fairies to garchomp.

Muh opinions on the most common worries:
-I really don't want any dlc.
-If fennekin ended up as fire/fight it wouldn't ruin XY but seriously upset me.
-I would actually prefer if there is no trading from BW or BW2, I am going into the game with as little spoilers as possible and it would really make XY the fresh start so many people like me are hoping for.
-there should be a decent aftergame
-if we can travel in-game to another region I will be ecstatic

Not disagreeing that DLC can be good, but looking at Gates to Infinity, If Pokemon gets DLC, it'll likely going to have DLC for: ease-of-use items, rare Pokemon availability (starters, etc), etc.

There likely won't be quests or story archs. Just more/easy access to things already in the game.

Should they decide to spearhead DLC into the main game, it'll suck.

They have already done the worst thing possible for this game. I HATED the story in Black/White specifically because of there were so many 'rivals'...... Bianca, Chefag, N.... They kept interupting the story along with the other characters like Juniper.

What's the worst thing they can do to X and Y? Add more side characters and rivals, of course! Now, instead of being stopped before each city, and at the end of each city, expect to be stopped when you get to a new route, when you get to each city, several times throughout the city, and even in each alleyway that you go into, you're going to be raped by that bigger guy with the icecream on his shirt.

The worst thing that could happen is that pokemon becomes even more offensive oriented and make battles even shorter.
This will totally destroy the "meta".
It would become a battle of who lands the first hit.

I really hope in X and Y battles will take more turns

I can actually see the battles slowing down a bit. Between Fairy-types counterbalancing the Dragons and Honedge's No Guard (which presumably means delicious 100% Will-o'-wisps), it looks like Gamefreak is making some effort to balance the metagame.

Now the real worrying thing is the weather effects. I would bet weather was as rampant in VGC as in singles, so m a y b e we'd see it being scaled down. Seeing as it's Kyogre's and Groudon's abilities, I doubt it though.
