Why is it that when we win a battle? Our opponent can accept the defeat, give us money, and go on with their day...

But when we lose, we throw our money on the floor, then black out from complete shock, and run away to the nearest Pokemon Center to heal our Pokemon, without even saying so much as "Good battle?"

Another thing... If we blackout or white out...

How do we run to the Pokemon Center? We're unconscious.

All pokemon protagonists are actually epileptic as well as trailed by a hoard of digletts. Upon defeat they succumb to a spastic seizure and the hoard of digletts emerge from underground to carry the protagonist to the nearest pokemon center.

Well you see it's kind of like in Ass Creed where if you cause to much interference to the protags timeline the system glitches up and resets you to a safe zone.

You black out in the same sense that a drunk person does, you don't remember how you get to the center or anything else, you just do. Other people handle this better because they haven't been traumatized by overbearing villagers into believing they'll be mauled to death if they're without pokémon in tall grass. Basically the protags all have panick attacks every time they lose.

I always figured when you loose, the blackout was just filler for the shock you experience running, without any 'mons to aid you, back to the center.

Likewise other trainers I kinda figured don't do the same cause maybe they wern't using their entire team in the battle, like they have one in reserve to keep them safe? Of course, trainers that do have a full 6 in battle must be carrying Revives or some shit and just won't rebattle you then and there cause that'd be stupid on their part.

All protagonists are extremely egotistical.
The reason every one of them blacks out is because they're in utter disbelief that they actually lost something. They can't come to terms with a defeat, so their mind overloads trying to make sens of what just happened, fails then shuts down temporarily. They're all cry babies.

Why does the criminal organisation use pokemon as weapons instead of guns etc.?
Why do people let their pokemon participate in battles with a good chance of it being knocked out, if they love them that much?

What actually happens is that player character gets attacked by the enemy Pokemon to the point you blackout, at which point you're mugged and left for dead, and then friendly passersby drag you to the nearest Pokemon center when they see you.

The protag doesn't do this because he's a moralfag and asks for money.

It's a construct of the game? Really, that's mostly what it is. If you want an in-universe explanation, I don't think ANYTHING happens when you lose, or even when you win most of the time. It's all for the sake of being a game. You're not going to win money for beating up on random people, that's ridiculous. Thieves? Maybe, but that's the only way that will happen outside of tournaments. Even then, the only money you're losing is registration fees or something like that. It is the only way you're getting money for winning, though. As for teams, who needs weapons when you have LIVING instruments of mass destruction. A better question to ask is why they don't bother with your pokemon and attack YOU instead. I would still answer that the game lies and the teams ARE much more willing to directly attack.

I like this idea. The world of Pokemon is actually just one big summer camp. Pokemon are anamatronic buddies with special lighting effects and such. That would explain why parents are so content with the thought that they're literally letting their 11 year old live on their own and fend for their selves in the fucking WILDERNESS.

NPCs do make mention of there being "prize money" for pokemon battles, so a battle is pretty much just a bet. 1400 pokedollars says I can beat you, etc.

As for attacking trainers, that's the reason I figured moves with 100% accuracy never miss barring other circumstance. The pokemon aren't trying to dodge, as they're defending you. Just a little headcanon, though.

Although, truthfully, if youngsters, human or pokemon, were out on their own, the grown up pokemon would trash them within moments. The only reason why I would even support it as being a friendly wager is that I think pokemon battles in general are how the people of the pokeworld work out their aggressive tendencies. This is why their world is relatively more peaceful than ours. You still get the more extreme people who see pokemon as more tools than partners. Yes, this does mean that there is no way a little kid should be able to take on the evil teams, but like I said above, I don't think a kid could survive this world period. Not unless they have better survival training than we do. I suppose that destroys the whole Junior League thing unless you still want to entertain the idea there's smaller tournaments for the kiddies and their little pokemon. There would have to be a safe environment for them to train, though.

This could be because it's his career, and the others trainers just live nearby or whatever. Not sure why some of them that travel ("Hey, I saw you in Viridian forest!" bug catcher for example) don't run off to heal, though.
