I want to say Eevee but the way they evolve in combination with the threads it'd spawn would be terrible. Plus you could just breed your evolved Eevee and get all the evolutions which would be kind of lame.

Everyone just remember than Steel and Rock won't work, starters all begin with a Normal type move before they get anything else and if that type resists Normal it'll have an enormous advantage in the first rival fight

This means no Steel, Rock, or Ghost.

the problem with half these triangles is that they still incorporate at least one of the original starter types. Psychic/Bug/Poison sounds pretty sick IMO though.
