Probably not, it doesn't have enough power after a Shell Smash because its stats are defensively leaning, and it lacks any decent moves to spam like Cloyster either.

The idea of a samurai breaking his own armor to be lighter and stronger is hella cool. Also Samurott needs something to set it apart from other Water Pokemon

Yes, Typhlosion would have some merits though: Coverage against other fire types (The best rk9 can do is CC/Espeed/button while Darm can Rock Slide/Superpower)
Eruption
Better in special than physical attacks
Also, Flash fire isn't excactly common, and chandelure should be getting Shadow tag in some time, moving it up to UU

Anyway, It would be better than it is now

Fake Out+ Ice Shard would be pretty cool, and you could kill stuff like Dragonite through multiscale. Also STAB Technician Pursuit with Weavile's speed = ded Eon Dragons.

Exactly, I love how the addition of one ability would make that silly little weasel into OU's premier dragonslayer.

It would also get a boost on faint attack and low sweep, which is nice for straight sweep attempts.
