I know people are saying this is fake but I have exact evidence that it is real:
1) The Kalos region is based on France, whose national fruit is coincidentally the watermelon.
2) The French flag has three horizontal stripes: red, white, and green; this Pokémon has three horizontal stripes: red, white, and green.
3) Embedded in this Pokémon’s skull is a green parasol. The French word parasol is derived from a Farsi word that means “melon.”
4) The Pokémon has three seeds on its front side, much like the three regions of the Kalos Pokédex (coastal, central, and mountain).
5) Shigeru Morimoto was recently quoted, saying, “There will be many wedge-shaped Pokémon this generation.” As you can see this Pokémon is wedge-shaped.
6) This generation there is a new type: Fairy. In mythology fairies are often referred to as the “watermelons of the forest.”
