It has not been hacked to my knowledge. It has also been suggested that Game Freak can do event legends through DLC which could possibly prevent us from knowing about them until they want us to know.

Why the hell wouldn't they be revealed? The starter evolutions have always been revealed before the games came out in Japan, and it would be stupid for them to not do it.

they weren't revealed for Johto nor Sinnoh. For Hoenn only Blaziken was revealed thanks to the anime and the Unova starter's first evolution were officially revealed like 2 days before the release

Actually they were revealed for Jhoto. When I was a kid I went to the local 7-11 and found a magazine that had all the new 2nd gen pokemon in it. It had their japanese names so im pretty sure we could of known about starters before Jhoto was released.
