It's already a HUGE jump passing from the 410 BST of Magcargo to the 520 of this supposed evolution, 560 would be too much.
Fire/Rock is an awful tyiping despict of BST and moves, it's just slightly better than fire/flying and we all know where Moltres and Charizard belong to.

It's between the likes of Archeops and Arcanine, and, considering these are 1st stage evolutions, I think 560 BST Magcargo would be nice, considering how it SUCKS in normal gameplay.

But we could balance it and give it 530 BST, like Mamoswine and Blaziken.

And it evolves pretty fucking late for a 1st stage evolution - should have better stats.

You mean 2stage.
Yeah, but Arcanine is a specific case (you know, supposed legendary and stuff) and Archeops has an ability which destroys him.
BST of 520/530 and a fire/steel type would make sense, leaving him with fire/rock typing would mean wasting a great chance. I mean, just avoid giving him an evo just to give RU another fire type.
I never got the point of that fire snail indeed, especially the area you were able to find him in Kanto.

I had an idea for two alternate evos for Magcargo. Magzer, a combination of a Cone Shell snail and a tank with the Cone Shell's poison needle shooting proboscis as the cannon or Hindencarg, a zeppelin based on a Janthina, which are sea snails that float along the top of the water with a balloon made of bubbles.

Mr. Mime needs Magic Bounce and Jynx needs to be Icy/Fairy retconned.
They would be pretty set if they got that since Jynx is already decent in Rain with Dry Skin, Lovely Kiss, and Nasty Plot; and Mr. Mime just needs to get his Baton Pass job back from Espeon to be relevant again.
Evos would be cool, but not necessary for them. Especially Jynx since she has decent stats but her horrible typing is what's really holding her back and an evo wouldn't be any different; just a Froslass with a worse typing and Lovely Kiss.

I'm not a huge fan of gen IV, but I think we all have to admit that it gave us the most interesting and wanted evos of the entire franchise.
I don't think we will ever get cross evos (babies too) as interesting as the ones we had in gen IV.
They should have left some for later gens :(

Yeah, I forgot about Defeatist. It's like Regigigas's Slow Start, only HP-based. Yeah, I guess you're right, Fire\Steel would cover entry hazards and be more defensive.

Still, it sounds unethical to me. But who am I to judge? I just wanted to buff up a BST of 520, since Slugma only evolves at lv. 38.

And evolving much later could get better BST. But, then, Mamoswine comes into play and you see that he's got 530 BST, and he's OU. So, a 530 BST Fire\Steel Magcargo evo would be nice, with good coverage to almost pretty fucking everything, except Water. And Fighting.

Heatran is a legendary. You can think about competitive battling, but we're talking availability and evolution here.

Doesn't matter what type of bell they are. Important part is that they are bells, so it have no sense to evolve them into Nazca lines totem. Even Bronzong would make more sense as evo.

Bronzong is too much of a totem in my opinion. A decently designed temple bell that keeps the chimeco spirit of looking cute would be cool, part ground since they were usually made from clay and shit to avoid clashing with bronzong.
Would basically boost defense and sp attack, because huger and more religious.
