I started with the TCG (EX Holo Phantoms or something) and still bought the really old cards, then I started with PMD: BRT and Diamond as my first mainstream game. I won't say my age but I'm not as old as OP is. I'm also an optimist and love every gen equally, from Kanto to Kalos
and yes, I like Hoenn too, I just don't play RSE as much as Leafgreen, Yellow, Platinum or Heart Gold. I don't get why older people have to be fags about our parents not fucking each other earlier. Just to let you know, I also hate a majority of MA games and I have no friends that still play any Nintendo games. One last thing, I actually read every single bit of text in every Pokémon game and even when I started so I'm not one of those fags who skips everything and only wants to get through the games asap.
