Ok so here it goes.

I love Pokemon. I have loved it since I 1st bought Red in 1999. I have loved every single generation so far including gen 6. Hell this gen has been amazing. 29 great new Pokemon, a new type, new innovative battles. X&Y just looks amazing and I can't wait to play it.

But I cannot for the life of me bring myself to like the mega evolutions or mega forms or whatever they're called. To me it feels pointless, gimmicky, and totally forced. I mean, are all fully evolved Pokemon going to be given these forms? Why couldn't they just create new evolutions for Pokemon like Mawile and Absol, when Gamefreak should know by now we want those.

I just don't get it. I don't feel Pokemon is "dead" or anything retarded like that, but I don't see how mega evolutions are going to better the game in any way. I can't be the only person who feels this way.
