In the Sticky one anon mentioned the possibility of that big stone on the map being the place in where you could transform them. So, what if they give you a Key Item on that place that allows you to transform them just like Kyurem? I guess that would be acceptable.

I thought it was a cool idea that the Pokemon to awaken to their full potentional. It make a lot of sense that the changes were small, because it's not an evo/form change, just a more complete Pokemon. Though it's a cool idea either way, and I like the designs.

They're just lazy versions of evolutions, with things slapped on the original with no regard to how well or thematically appropriate it looks.
