Yes. For a second there, I really thought about stopping playing the game. But I'm still curious to see the Fairy types, the story, gyms, E4, Champion and Pangoro so I think I'll still buy the game. I'm really disappointed though.

It did damage it a little bit. I don't think it's a particularly bad concept, but the only way it would work is if they give either every Pokemon a mega version, or at the least the final evolution of every Pokemon line (including single-stage Pokemon). That would be pretty awesome.

Having just a small handful really is pointless and not needed.

Hype pretty much at same level. I just hope they don't fuck up with those Mega Evolutions. They should give every last stage one and balance them as well. I don't see why Lucario or Blaziken should get one and other Pokémon who really need a boost, like Chimecho, don't.

I think it might be because X and Y were looking to be simple-ish and going back to RBY in design and feel, then this comes out of nowhere, a concept that, at the moment, seems to be digivolution in all but name so far.

That's just my guess.

Slightly. I personally think these Mega forms are faek.
All the "official" art is just old images of the pokemon with some stupid ideas tacked on.
The concept is still nice though.
This is what I always envisioned Overgrow,Torrent, and Blaze doing my pokemon.
Power beyond their final forms.
That and if they are real then they still managed to sneak in a Fire/Fight mon and that upsets me a bit.
Still very excited for X/Y

Honestly I was fine with another 2D sprite game.
It being in 3D was far more than I expected.
