Why do you guys believe that only a selected few Pokemon get mega levels?

The list is completely arbitrary so far
A stage 3 evolution starter
A stage 2 evolution regular Pokemon
A stage 3 evolution regular Pokemon
Two stage 1 evolution regular Pokemon
And a fucking legendary

I'm pretty sure all final evolutions will get a mega evolution. I hope this makes lesser used Pokemon viable too. I'm gonna enjoy my MegaFearow

Wouldn't that be awesome? The mega evolutions look simple enough for that.

It'll be the starters, a few marketable non-evolvolution and single evolved pokemon, pikachu and eevee, at the most.

They probably WANT to add Mega Evolutions to nearly everything, but realize that's way too much work. They'll do what they can now, and when Z version or Gen III remakes or whatever comes out, they'll add more. Since the Mega items seem to be species specific, you just won't be able to find them for species whose Mega forms aren't in X and Y, and be inable able to trade them in-between games.

What if not only final evolutions get mega evolutions, but EVERY SINGLE Pokemon gets one? And it mega evolutions work in a way that favor un evolved Pokemon?

I really would love an excuse to not evolve my Pokemon. I wanna use a MegaPiplup and wreck some shit

I was think it would be cool, if you could only mega evolve if you were the basic pokemon.
So Torchic would mega evolve straight to megablaziken.
It's perhaps a bit too digimon but it would make basic pokemon viable in comp.

Yeah, but shiny versions is like someone just running a fucking macro on a batch of sprites in photoshop to replace colors with random shit. Most of them are uninspired garbage, and it really makes the REAL shiny designs that you can tell they put thought into as a real alternate color scheme that'd work stand out compared to the shit designs.

Metagross vs Garchomp, who do you think they REALLY put effort into making an alternate costume for?
