Things that would make Mega evolutions okay with me:
>every single fully evolved pokemon gets one
>they work via a hold item and act as a permanent forme change as long as said item is held, like Giratina and the Griseous orb
The reason I hate Mega evolutions is because neither of those things will happen. It makes no fucking sense why Blaziken, Lucario, or Mewtwo needed an evolution as opposed to something like Torkoal or Stantler. If they're just selecting random ass pokemon for no reason, pokemon that don't need buffs are going to be incredibly OP and pokemon that desperately need buffs are likely to be ignored. Plus the fact that they only work in-battle makes the whole thing pointless for me.
I'd rather just have evolutions for the pokemon that actually fucking need them than this stupid bullshit.
