The simple fact that it's a 3D pokemon game. I've wanted this since I first picked up Blue version.

Megaevos. I'm loving MegaMawile and MegaAmpharos is glorious beyond compare, but MegaBlaziken was unnecessary and mLucario and mAbsol are both CRAWWWWWWWWLING IIIIIIIN MY SKIIIIIIIIN tier in terms of design.

Gen VI does look great, perhaps even purchase worthy, and I'm not willing to judge the Mega-evo's harshly until I get to try the game for myself and see if they're just a gimmick or something far more substantial.

I'm looking forward to see some of my bros/sis like Lilligant/Milotic get Megaevos. Just megaevos in general are cool. Instead of Life Orb/Left Overs/Choice items the mega stone is another option, which seems like a cool idea for the meta game.

Sceptical over the focus on earlier gen stuff with megaevos, and not enough attention on Gen 6 Pokemon.

I haven't played pokemon since Diamond/Pearl. After that I sold my DS. I've played Black and White on an emulator recently, but prior to that I didn't look at pokemon for a few years. I'm buying a 3DSXL and getting back into it with a new region and I feel like a kid again.

Megaevos. I like them for the most part, but pokemon like Mawile, Sableye, and Dunsparce (Mawile is the only one confirmed but you get the idea) deserve proper evolutions but will instead be left with a Megaevo that only lasts during battle.

fucking evverything, i agree with you completely OP
i specifically love the efforts they are going to to make pokemon more unique and make bonding with them less of an imagination game, amie and the trainer obviously, but also seeing how they individually look when they fight, seeing them be badass seeing them be adorable
no longer do i have to watch the anime to know how they behave

im really worried about the future of showdown and other out of game stuff more than anything, all this facebook connectivity, it seems like they want only official tournaments, and worst of all, they might introduce payed dlc

Megaevos. It's actually not the concept itself but how it's hinted to work. It sounds like a comeback mechanic of some kind, which is wasting potentially new evos and isn't bound to be used that much (remember Zen Mode?)

Look at Gen 1 base stats compared to those from gen 5. Later gen pokemon generally have stats that indicate what aspect of battle they are most viable for, whereas early gen pokes were made purely to be dex filler. This helps early pokemon stand a chance in the modern meta.

Would never happen. Iwata emphasised that Nintendo refuse to charge for add on content. I know GF make pokemon, but since it's such a flagship franchise I doubt it would break the norm in this respect.
