So who's going to get a mega evolution that wasn't already announced, /vp/? How many mega evolutions will there be in total?

I won't be surprised if Charizard gets one that turns it into Fire/Dragon with levitate. Also they can always add more via DLC/events.

All starters will probably get one. They tried to improve starters with the DW abilities but realized that it wasn't enough. Say hello to Grass/Dragon Sceptile!

I will blame GF if they don't give all the starters a MegaEvo. Blaziken only seems unfair, even if its one of my favorite starters.

Basically mega evolutions are a way for Gamefreak to correct past mistakes

The better question is: since we already know Ampharos is being Dragonified - what other new typing combinations will we get? Will Bug/Dark Ariados happen? Bug/Ground Pinsir? Fire/Dragon Arcanine?

So what do you guys think some of these "extra conditions" are to activate the mega stone? If you need more conditions to activate them I guess that pretty much confirms it isn't just going to transform right away as soon as it enters battle.

But it doesn't really correct them since you can only use them on low health, and most Pokemon die in 1-2 hits anyways.

You can give your porkymen a hold item that causes them to Warp Digivolve to Mega during battle but it returns to normal outside combat

I hope every final stage gets one. If not, at least they should give Pokémon like Chimecho one to make them useful.

I predict that only "natural" Pokémon can Mega Evolve. By natural I mean Pokémon that are at their last non-human influced stage; no evolution stone stages. So for example Growlithe could Mega Evolve but Arcanine can't. Since stone-evolved Pokémon are already pretty limited to their moves it woudn't be too Farfetch'd. This would also give the anime the perfect opportunity to give Pikachu a Mega Evolution as well.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I believe they hinted at this by only showing 6 specific Pokémon. A starter Pokémon, a normal 1 staged Pokémon, a normal 2 staged Pokémon, a normal 3 staged Pokémon, a legendary Pokémon and a re-typed Pokémon. No item-evolved Pokémon so far.

I know that MewTWO is a Mew clone you retard. But in the game itself there is to technical connection between those two. Mewtwo doesn't evolve from Mew, nor does Mewtwo produce Mew eggs or anything like that, it's a single staged legendary Pokémon. I'm not talking about any backstory or lore here.
