/vp/ how does it feel that mawile will never recieve a proper evolution? What are my sources you say? Do I really need one? Why in gods name would GF give a basic stage pokemon a mega evolution. Sucks don't it.

The concept was finished. Mawile never needed a normal evolution. It's Mega Evolution was the perfect opportunity for the problem of its lackluster stats to be remedied and the design to be modified to reflect its new typing. I'm glad GF didn't give her an evo (that one looks awful) and made good use of the new gimmick.

I'm fine with MegaMawile as long as GF doesn't screw it up and Mawile can actually be viable online and in-game.

I think as long as having a Megastone on your Pokemon causes it to Mega on entry and keep it's mega for the battle, then it doesn't matter, it's as good as an evo.

Not to mention it's getting some seriously good typing in Steel/Fairy and getting one of the best abilities in game.

If it gets Bullet Punch or some Fairy priority then shit will go down.

I didn't want it to have an evo, same with mons like Dunsparce and Sableye, I like the mons themselves. I'm fine with this for Mawile, but the prospect of it going to mons that I do feel could use an evolution worries me a little. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, regardless of which other mons get it.

It's how he feels about a certain feature, which is an opinion. If you don't like it, don't use it. There's 700+ Pokemon you can use that don't have to Megaevolve.

Can't speak for /vp/ but I'm very disappointed, Mawile was one of my favorite pokemon and I always wanted an evolution for it, something more like the OP's pic, not this mega shit just... no.

didn't someone say that they'd be doing DLC based on requests? So unless they never plan on doing evolutions again, why not? Just make it so you can't use the mega form upon evolving or get a new one.

This. I was so pumped for gen 6 cuz everything so far is so cool but this just ruined it and now I might not consider geting it because cross gen evo's is what I live for in the pokemon world. Not some stupid gimmick they try to push onto us
