It's literally just old pokemon with new flashy colors and...hair? Seriously?

This seems like something a fourth grader would tell you he found out from his insider dad. I've bought and played every single generation of Pokemon since Red and Blue, but...this is almost enough to just turn me off to X and Y entirely. It seems like they really are running out of ideas.

I think you're forgetting what Pokemon's target audience is. Kids eat shit like this up all the time. It's basically Super Saiyan forms of Pokemon. I showed my nephew the new trailer + the new Mega Evolutions and he was excited as fuck and asked if I'd buy him a copy of the game.

I don't fucking get it. Shouldn't it be the other way around? If they gave us a new gen of games with nothing new but the new Pokemon, wouldn't that mean they're running out of ideas? They've introduced a fuck ton of new ideas this gen, and now all people can say is "They're running out of ideas!"
