I've loved the idea since the start, but I'm a lot happier now that it's been confirmed that they're in-battle only, and the designs are growing on me more than they did at first.

No equivalent of Pokegen, so we can finally go back to the good old days of catching some Pokemon, training them, and battling, rather than going through all these complex EV, IV systems and dealing with the same predictable Pokemon and movesets over and over.

Clauncher > Skrelp
Swirlix < Spritzee
Xerneas > Yveltal
X. I preordered the right one, before any exclusives were revealed.

I never had a problem with it, I was just really, really surprised that it turned out to be true. I must admit I expected it, but I still didn't think it would actually happen. If that makes sense.

Initially I thought they looked cool, but was afraid they would be massively overpowered. Now I'm accustom to the gimmick, but I still worry for the metagame a little.

No. I actually lost a bunch of IRL friends who cancelled their preorders because it was the last straw. I just hope they aren't a HUGE part of the game.

More in battle form changes that have been around since gen 3 with castform, what's the problem?

An alternate and optional way to EV train, I don't see how there's a way to dislike this

Helps buff poison offensively and fire/psychic defensively while nerfing dragon and fighting offensively, pretty good all around for balancing, the single thing wrong with the matchups is buffing steel offensively though, while steel does suck as attackers, they don't need a buff because of how good they can dafend.

This one I kind of understand, I honestly don't see myself using it much, no complaints of it being there since I don't have to use it though.

Purely a matter of taste, I personally like how simple a lot of this gens designs are and a lot of the new concepts and type combinations they're using.

At first I thought they took it too far, but now I'd like to see where this mechanic goes. Looks interesting, but I'm really hoping it isn't a common thing, like every Gym Leader or Elite 4 gets one.. I hope they're super rare and hard to achieve, like shinies but not to that extent.

Nope. My thoughts were pretty much "that's a thing", and they still are, and while I don't dislike them I'm not wowed in any real way.

They're equal. Spritzee is better than Swirlix, Clauncher is better than Skrelp, both legends are kinda boring.

Nope, still the same. A little unnecessary but all things considered they're cool nonetheless. I especially like MegaBlaziken and Megalucario.

That the starters are at least competent in their 2nd and final stages. I want badass final evos for the starters, that's all I ask.

Yes, because I thought they were full on evolutions, because they're called "Mega Evolutions", but really its just its just a variation of forme-change but more like the Pokemon take on a "Limit Break" so...yeah.
I'm psyched, and can't wait to learn all the ins and outs of it!

Back when it was first being speculated about, I thought there was no fucking way it was real, but when it got confirmed I didn't complain. I think it's gonna be a cool type. Hopefully it'll balance some stuff.

I was a bit shocked and turned off for the first 5 minutes, but then as I read more info about it I warmed up to the idea very quickly and now I'm excited about it. It's fresh for Pokemon.

Honestly, I'm gonna try them all. I'm fond of any of them for any reason, even Vivillon and Noivern whitch I weren't very warm for at first. If I had to do a team right now, it'll be Chespin, Litleo, Clauncher, Swirlix and Inkay.

New type combos. We've already got Dark/Psychic, Steel/Ghost, the new Fairy type etc. so it's looking up right now.
