since they won't do this, it means that every starter is getting a mega form
this means that
1) one of my favorite pokemon is going to get an extra design added onto it that it was never meant to have, and there's no way I can see that making the design more complex wouldn't make it look like shit
2) the gen 6 starters were designed with mega evolutions in mind, ad their mega evos will probably actually have a role in the anime
3) Charizard is getting a mega evo, and genwunners are going to have their biggest freak out since the ice cream cone, only 100X bigger
in addition, mega evos are taking away from pokemon who were going to get actual evos
finally, since mega evos require a held item to work, they probably won't be much better than their normal counterparts when it comes to competitive play, so we essentially just have poorly designed additions to old lines
oh, and one more thing
Pokemon doesn't need fucking Limit Breaks, everybody who is going to buy pokemon X and Y were completely fine with the original formula, this change isn't going to make people buy the game, it's probably going to get more than a few people to cancel their pre-orders, this is not change in the right fucking direction
