Alexa appeared in the Animé and was seen holding this magazine in particular. She worked on the magazine.

What if the Pokemon-lines on the cover are the ones to get a Mega Evolution? The pokemon seem kinda random to me. Also Alexa is from Kalos so she's familiar with Mega Evolutions.

Come to think of it, the leak did say you get a Kanto starter at one point in the game. If they got Mega Evolutions, that would explain why.
