I seriously do not understand, how anyone can think that the gen 1 starters are not the most aesthetically pleasing of all starters, leave the nostalgia fag comments out of this, what do you not like about the gen 1 starters

Well, I'm a fan of Charmander because I like lizards/reptiles. I thought he was really cute when I was like 8 so I picked him.

Really, all three starters are very well done. I really don't have much hate for starters of any other gen though.

Potential nostalgiafaggotry accepted.

I just think. If you compare these starters, to the ones recently revealed... Does anyone actually prefer the newest ones over the original starters

Unpopular opinions time?

I've always hated Bulbasaur, even when I was a little kid. It's just an ugly toad-dinosaur thing with unsightly spots, a sickly green color, a fat bulb on its back that's too close to its body color. It didn't helped that the anime voice actor always made it sound like a chain smoker.

Because I like other starters more. I find Squirtle, Charmander and their evolutions to be pretty boring. I love Bulbasaur, but he's still behind Turtwig as my favorite grass starter.

Froakie is far cooler than Squirtle, the grass starter is probably on the same level as Bulbasaur (both bland as hell).

Froakie is officially my favorite starter, it actually looks like a frog unlike the other frog pokemon. I seriously hope the evolutions don't ruin him.
Empoleon is my second favorite and yes I love squirtle and started with gen 1.

How could anyone not think the Gen 1 starters aren't THE MOST aesthetically pleasing? Not all of us were five years old when Gen 1 came out. I mean, how could anyone not think Transformers and Voltron aren't the most coolest robot shows ever??

I honestly think the Charmander line is the ugliest starter line of all.

Favorite is the Totodile line,
