At least wait until the game comes out to decide how unbalanced it is or isnt. From what I get so far youre only allowed one megaevolution per battle so it shouldnt be a big deal.

At this point all they care about is milking the franchise for every penny. That's what happens to all cashcow franchises. So of course they're gonna add ridiculous shit like megadigivolving to draw in previously untapped market bases.
Just you wait, in Gen 7 they're gonna introduce armor, helmets, grieves, and other shit to complete the transition from Pokemon to Digimon.

No, but it is a franchise that is thematically similar to pokemon involving evolving monster battles. They called their highest possible form "mega" for a very long time. It's not the whole super mode thing, it's that they directly took the name.

It's a fine addition. It's new and exciting. It makes the future of Pokemon a little less predictable, and honestly, I love that. This gen is shaping up to be pretty diverse compared to those before it, and, like it or not, it's going to leave its mark. Mega Evolutions are completely optional, so I don't see what the problem is. I guess some people just need something to bitch about to feel important. Somebody should make a single thread where all these dumbasses can jerk each other's hate boners off.

It's not like megas are competitively viable, they are just there to have more things to give with event Pokemons, since mega stones are so rare.
Kinda like dream world abilities in this gen, except DW abilities are actually useful

By Gen VII, if you want to get a pokemon with Max IVs you could do complicated trades and breeding, or just fork over a couple bucks and Nintendo lets you download one that's custom to you only.
