Also, is that rainbow that appears above Mewtwo a Mega Stone? If so, it looks like its consumed. Perhaps you get one megalution per stone?

It's a stylised DNA symbol that appears on both the Japanese X and Y logos and also on the protag's bracelets. We don't know what it is.

Blazikenite is a megastone that you can ONLY get via the Torchic event.

If that was a one time use, I'd be pretty pissed.

Considering they're supposed to be super rare I think they're reusable hold items that you get mid-late game.

Are you sure? Mewtwo normally looks sort of like a science disaster, what with it's weird neck tube and overall lumpy appearance. Mega Mewtwo looks slick and perfected. Like as if that's what the mew cloners were going for.

I'm guessing if your pokemon is holding the stone it will transform as soon as it comes into battle, when the battle is over it will revert to its normal form and go back to holding the stone.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Having the mega stones be one-time-use items wouldn't make sense since the Blazikenite is event-only.

Think of teams now, any person can have any assortment of 6 pokemon per team, with many different combonations, though with tiers this has gotten kind of bland since everyone uses the same thing.

Now with One mega pokemon per team it's the same except you don't know which one of their pokemon is the mega, and why they would be using it.

So more variety. untill smogon tiers are set up around megas and everyone is running the same mega blaziken and same mega salamence, and the same mega scizor, and the same mega tyranitar.
