i was in middle school and i liked the anime by that time, but tnen in that year i met a friend thet went to the US and brought his game boy color with him, it was the first time i saw one in person (alot of commercials by that time if some of us renember), then e precedst to turn it on and then i saw the screen that marked a turning point in my life, it was a copy of pokemon red, by that time i didn't even knew that pokemon had a game and i was shocked. my friend were in that time when kanto lose it lineality and he still had and ivysaur, that was the first pokemon that i had battled then he said to me "catch this pokemon" (it was a ditto) of curse he taught me and that was my very own first pokemon, from ther i started to save money to get my own gameboy (took me 1 year but it worth) because that experience catching a pokemon was beautiful.
