I'm depressed, please help me out.

Ever since the scoop of the century saw daylight, I've been less and less hyped about X/Y. I just thought how excited would I be if I actually got the copies of gen6 games in my hands right now. I realized that I wouldn't even care, I might not even try them out right away.

I really want to get my hype back on, but the mega evolutions just ruined it for me. Would you please explain why they will be a good thing or why they won't be THAT bad thing? I don't want to argue, I just want to learn to tolerate them.
