Of the nonexsitant type combos, Normal/Ghost and Steel/Ghost are pretty good, though in the current meta I'm gonna have to agree with anon above that Water/Ground is the best. It's greatly benefitted by two weathers, hits a lot of shit hard, it has a bunch of handful resistances and only one, pretty hard to find, weakness. Hell, if a pokemon with Gastrodon's stats can be a fucking tank in OU it goes to show how awesome the typing is.
