The marketing they've been doing for this gen has been incredible and the 3DS has a huge install base already (It must be bigger than the DS's was when Gen 4 came out by now, right?).

In my case, I never saw a reason to buy a 3DS until Gen 6 was announced and up until recently I have had no extra spending money.

I can afford one now but I think I'll wait to see if a bundle like this will come to America.
