I just hope they don't leak the entire dex or the story early, this kind of thing hasn't happened since R/B/Y.

I preordered mine from Gamestop.
They most likely won't be a having a midnight release.
Meaning anyone buying it from Wal-Mart can get it 9-10 hours before me.

R/B/Y didn't have a worldwide release, but it being the first Pokemon games and the Internet not being so widely used as is it today, it was almost like going into it blind.

I've got a feeling that we in Australia will have to wait a day for the rest of the world to get it.

GameFaqs spoiled it. Also some game mags had posters with all of the Pokémon.

Unless you lived in Japan when the series just made its debut, then maybe you didn't know but in America all 150 being spoiled before the games came out if you had a subscription to EGM or something.

Seriously, I'm sick and tired of kids that didn't have internet privileges back then swearing up and down how the flow of information was like back then just because search engines weren't as quick and convenient as Google.

By the time October 12th dawns in the US, it's almost October 13th down under. It's happened with loads of game releases before, I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened this time too.

I'm too poor to actually buy any games for it though. I buy like 1 or 2 new games a year for all my consoles, and maybe 4 or 5 used games for pre-generation 7 consoles.

I'm still annoyed I already preordered from Gamestop before realizing I could get it a whole 7-9 hours before from Walmart.

Now that I think about it, Japan is going to get the game on the day and has nearly the same zone as Western Australia. Japan sure as hell isn't going to wait until the US gets the game, maybe Australia will break street date and start selling on the day too.
