Well hello there, /vp/. I seem to have a problem. Currently going through an Emerald play through at the moment, but I'm out of ideas as to what to put on my team. Suggestions anyone?

Trying to use mons I haven't before, or at least not well. Haven't raised a Sceptile since Ruby first came out.

anyway OP, go five mons through the whole damn game, make your 6th mawile at victory road, and transfer that motherfucker all the way up to x/y
it is the only right way to do it

Get rid of poochyena, it will only hold your other mons back by taking the experience they could have. He won't be useful anywhere. Heracross is a decent dude, Slaking is incredible if you can tolerate switching out after your every attack.

Was considering Mawile, before remembering I'd have to wait till Victory Road. Then again, more exp with only 5 mons... I also never realized, in my entire time of owning Emerald, that you could get a Heracross in 3rd gen. Would you suggest Heracross over Ninjask?

you've got a speedster in sceptile already, and heracross is beast
unless you've got that much a hardon for baton passing speed, go heracross or both

Two bugs and a grass. That fire weakness far concerns me more. Think I'll go Heracross though. What's the general opinion on Manectric?
