In which gen do you all think fighting types shined brightest? 1 was cool because the fighting types were neat design wise, but I think gen 4 is when they introduced enough multi types to make fighting really shine. For example, toxicroak=fighting/poison, lucario=steel/fighting.

Poliwrath
Breloom

Toxicroak and Scrafty are some of my all-time favorite Pokemon.

But, if I had to choose for my absolute favorite, it'd have to be Hitmonlee.

He was a bro in Yellow/Red and has an awesome design.

Yeah, Scrafty is one of the best Pokemon in-game that I've ever used. In White my Scraggy managed to sweep Skyla without even taking any damage. High Jump Kick + Moxie is insane.

Lucario is my undisputed favourite, but Blaziken, Mienshao, Heracross, Scrafty, and Machamp are closely tied. Medicham is pretty damn neat, too. I like that nigga better than Gallade, even.

It's incredibly close between Gallade and Heracross, but Gallade wins out. He's the guy I'm most hoping gets a mega evolution to help fix his awful speed, or at the very least make him bulkier on more than just the special side.
Honourable mentions to Breloom, Scrafty, Toxicroak and Lucario.
Hmm, that list kinda makes me want to make a mono fighting team at some point... It can go on my list of projects after the bug one.

Fighting is pretty much the only type I don't like. They generally have ugly designs and aren't very useful in-game when compared to other types. Bug/Steel/Ghost master race reporting in.

OP here, got a lot of good responses, I was surprised by the variety. Also a little surprised by the lack of Hitmon's, thought for sure there would be more in that camp. Blaziken's been my favorite since gen 3. Picked Torchic for the sole reason that I hadn't picked a fire starter in the previous two gens and I was rewarded with awesome. Speed Boost and MegaBlaziken are icing on the cake.
