run away is fucking useless. that's the ability that typically gets replaced when a pokemon evolves isn't it? i know ponyta and i think poochyena lose the ability when they evolve. i imagine it will have sap sipper over run away when it evolves
i never thought i'd like a regional rodent, but if this dude is normal/ground, it's definitely a step up over fucking patrat. patrat is shit. they could have at least made it normal/psychic or something just so it had something unique to it. so many boring typings that could have been so much more in gen 5

While Rattata, Bidoof, and perhaps Patrat are rodents, though it's iffy on Patrat if its largest basis is that of a meerkat
Sentret is more akin to a meerkat-ferret-raccoon mix while Zigzagoon is a tanuki
Bunnelby is a rabbit, which is a lagomorph and not a rodent.

Therefore, the early regional 'rodent' is, in effect, the early regional mammal.
