Help me out /vp/. For some reason, my 3DS won't connect to my wifi. I put the correct password in and all, and did the exact same procedure that I did at my friend's house. It connects to the router, but not to the internet. It tells me possible problems, but it's not that.

Can you guys help me out?

Pic Related, it's the same exact 3DS as I have.

What security is the router set to?

Mine won't play online on anythng passed WEP encryption. Same for my Wii U. I tested with WPA/WPA2.

Actually only DS games won't work on WPA. The 3ds itself you should be able to connect.

I think DSi enhanced carts work too, but there's only a handful of them (BW2 being one of them).

Nope, Mario Kart 8, Kid Icarus they can all connect, but not actually play online. Same as MoHun on Wii U.

If it helps, BW2 is what I have. My friend has WEP, idk what mine is. I'm sure it's a WEP though. I can check.

try dropping the security completely on your router, see if it works.

I know my security options are:

Tried them all and nothing. I guess I'll have to change the security type manually?

The last one is the best bet for security.

To be honest, I don't know why it is bugging out. You could always call your provider or Nintendo themselves.

I'd prolly call the provider, but they'd only pretend to care. They suck. Fucking Comcast.

I don't think it's the actual 3ds, because it worked at my friend's house.

Okay.

Hopefully it works. Everything else connected to it. Both laptops (including the one I'm on) my iphone, ipod, & the desktop is manually hooked up to it. I have no clue what's wrong.

I had this problem a while ago. I could use the browser but not connect to Friends. It gave me an error code too.

I tried everything but I just waited a few days and it fixed itself. I haven't had the problem since

Did it work fine before? You just turned it on and it suddenly didn't work at your house?

Because the samething happened to me, my 3DS worked on everything else, but stopped on my router all of a sudden.

It disconnected all wireless devices, and the password isn't working. I figured the selected key replaced it, but that's not working either.

I got this.

Phone is in now btw.
Turns out it does matter which key you choose. Cause I went back and selected Key 1 and it worked for my phone.

Anywhore, yeah.

I know that the password wasn't entered incorrectly, because if it was, it wouldn't even get passed connecting to the router, signaling the X would be on the other side in between the 3DS & Router.

Hmm well i'm a poorfag so i'm not sure how the wifi works for the 3DS but if it's anything like the DS try making a new connection and then accessing your network from there, at least if you haven't done so already
