To be honest, I don't hate it... Though I much prefer Absol's original look. I do think the wings look weird though.
For me, Absol always always gave off edgy and emo vibes. (It's Pokedex entries and appearances always seemed to exibit Absol as being solitary, misunderstood, and other stereotypical tones in that spectrum.) While I'm not too much a fan of either of those, I can see the new mega-evolution being within the same tones, which is why I'm ok with it.
