>>13409633In Singles no there really isn't, in fact the whole fundamental problem with singles after the power creep is the lack of defense. Beyond tanking in the game or a switch the lack of defense against some types like dragon or weather boosted water/fire attacks is absurd.
However in Doubles you have a multitude of options round mindless big attacks. It doesn't matter how powerful they get, it only takes one well timed Fake Out, Wide Guard, Sub, Follow Me or Protect to leave them completely open to your partner to take out. If there really is a problem with Doubles it'd be how overused Thundurus is.
