Anyone have stories of bootleg pokemon games? I've seen some at random stores, but never actually bought any. No roms or creepypastas please.

A friend of mine had a GBC cartridge that somehow had a legit version of Crystal on it but also that Diamond bootleg.

Both actually worked fine and even were translated.
I think she wasn't able to trade with others though.

I bought a GBA styled one called 'Pokémon Diamando", even though I knew it was an obvious bootleg, I was hella pumped for Diamond at the time, so being the dumb kid I was, I bought it. Turned out it was some kinda Bugs Bunny game with a shittily done Pikachu instead of Bugs. I was pissed.

I had pokemon black bootleg from when I went to the phillipines it was a ruby version with textures changed it was glitched at fiery path and was unbeatable the changed the entrance of the cave one unit over but but didn't change the tile so it was just a wall with a cave entrance painted on. and the actual spot you could walk on the wall but you wouldn"t enter the cave
