Pikachu annoys me just because hes more of a mascot character now than he is an actual pokemon. I actually kind of like him for the same reason but I hate to admit it and he still gets on my nerves enough to prevent me from actually liking him to any extent.

Pokemon I hate the most is Lucario, not only because of his atrocious fanbase but because hes an over done concept that tried way too hard. The whole fighting/steel thing with the ability to sense aura makes him seem like he belonged in a poorly written shonen series but he was an anthromorphic jackal character so they stuck him in pokemon. Not really, but thats what he seems like and isn't at all like any of the other fighting pokemon.

Mostly because when I saw Kricketot, it looked stupid. But its a Cricket, I told myself! Surely it turns into something cool. Then i dragged that weak piece of crap into each battle so it would be useful on my team and painfully went back and forth to the Pokecenter to keep healing it.
Finally it evolves into a violin. Which I admit sounds cool, until you realize its got shot nubby legs, a big ugly nose, a huge mustache (mine was female) and the most annoying cry.

That thing was a fucking let down!

I typically dislike most starter pokemon. The only one's I've felt fine using were Cyndaquil and Oshawott. The rest came off as dull for me or just pure shit.

Though any playthrough, whether first time or not, I don't tend to keep my starter in the party. Just pick which one gives the beast advantage early then drop it when something better comes along.

But I didnt know that. It just seems a little odd to bring up that history lesson in the region of the game hes introduced. Is it revealed in the cartoon or a movie? I just play the games. Its a bit of a shame because some Pokemon have such neat stories that are always kinda forgotten or never mentioned in game.

If Dragonite was a stand alone, or had a separate evolutionary line, I'd be ok with it. But no, because it's derpy happy ass smiling face comes from something that doesn't look remotely like it, Dragonite honestly pisses me off. Looking at Dratini and Dragonair, I couldn't wait to see the final evo. I was expecting some sort of cross between what you'd expect with Gyrados and Milotic I suppose, not that thing.

I think they're geared towards little boys who need to have only the most harass and cool shit on their team and that just doesn't appeal to me. Their designs seem forced. Couple that with the fact that using on in game makes shit easy mode. Garchomp and Salamence are just the worst.

OP, you have a 10/10 taste in hating Pokemon. I've always hated Pikachu due to it being so omnipresent in everything related to Pokemon. Also, it really rustled my jimmies as a kid when I was watching the anime and Pikachu beat Pokemon like Golem and Rhydon with Thunderbolt. I really can't explain how much I hated that since I always knew how shitty Pikachu actually was and how Ground was immune to Electric.

Rhyperior is another 0/0 tier Pokemon. Although I really don't like any of the unnecessary evos introduced in Gen IV, Rhyperior is by far the worst. Its design is absolutely hideous and the whole Pokemon is absolutely meaningless. I've hated it ever since I saw it.

Pikachu is because it's hyped beyond reason. It is a totally lackluster Pokemon. Sure, it's designed pretty well, but not near as well as the vast majority. It pisses me off that Pikachu gets it own item, just for it, that makes its evolved form (which is way cooler than it) completely obsolete.

The thing that pisses me off isn't so much how popular it is, it's how hyped up GF is trying to make it. It's become a pure gimmick. The fact that they made the Light Ball makes it even worse, since it pretty much renders the vastly superior in every way Raichu obsolete.
