But then, keep in mind the following: software can be replicated multiple times. Unlike natural resources, software is an unlimited resource. Stealing a copy means, in the end, nothing.
Do you know where the issue is? Let's make a bit of analysis. I make a software. I want to sell it. What I want is, at least, to recover all of the money I spent creating the software, and if possible, get a bit else. That logic works for goods where the resources are limited - not for something that can be replicated several times.
The whole issue is that the current business model is done. Technology outbeat it. What companies should do is to search for new business models.
