You have to waste a turn to Mega Evolve.
You also have to waste your item slot.

They're auto trash.

NONE of the Pokemon shown to have Mega Evolutions get enough benefit from it to make sacrificing a turn and your item slot worthwhile.

Don't give Blazikenite to Torchic
Don't even use Torchic
Don't use Mega Stones ever (unless, unfortunately for you, its scripted)
But, I actually hope it IS scripted, if even JUST ONCE, so that you will HAVE to try it.
It may not sound good on paper (er, screen?)
But you'll never know until you try.

I wish this feature was never created and older pokes got newer proper evolutions. it just seems so silly to give already really good pokes like lucario even MORE powerful forms. god damnit I'm SOOO fucking sick of forms.

Because its been 5 generations of the same old thing, so trying something new really isint such a huge idea. Seriously, as said in this thread, no one will force you to use them. And you have 5 other generations you can play if you dont like this one.

There is really nothing you can do about it so either ignore them and have fun or dont buy the game.

no. I hate a lot of designs (and so far, the megaevo designs have been pretty terrible), but I've never complained because nothing before this has ever changed the way the game is played at its core.

I would complain if it was forced on me. If mega-evolutions were something the pokemon had to do I would be upset. But it dosent. If I hated mega evolutions I would just disregard them and move on.

Really your criticism sounds more like bitching. Thats all I am saying. And where did I say make a better game. I just said ignore them and have fun and if you really cant do that then I probably would suggest not buying the games.
