Does the 3DS recognize slight tilts to the stick? If it does, they should have made run require a full tilt and the speed of movement decreases as you tilt less.

You don't have to, but you will. You've been trained to hold B for several years now. You have 252 EVs in B-holding. When the game says 'Run' you say 'Hold B'. Even if you don't want to, you WILL hold B.

I played the demo today and you get used to the speed almost instantly. Just like in every other game, where running speeds are inconsistent between series entries.

It may have looked fruity, but the HG/SS interface was functionally one of the best fucking things to ever happen to Pokémon and its embarrassing that Gen V regressed so far in comparison.

Why the fuck did Gen V make me go extra layers deep into menus when HG/SS would have simply displayed the relevant info on BOTH screens?

Why was the "move pokemon" function in the PC so much smoother in HG/SS compared to Gen V?

HGSS UI in general was a slow piece of shit, every yes/no dialog just had to be shown on the bottom screen which wasted a lot of fucking time. So you can select them with the touch screen, big fucking deal. Could just use A like any sane person.

You nostalgiashits make me sick. Gen V shits all over the cumbersome mess that was IV and you fucking know it.

I never even TOUCHED any of the Sinnoh games. In fact, based on the slower battle system alone I don't even go back and play Soul Silver anymore, I just think the menu system and the drag&drop PC system was excellent, along with them actually making better use of the upper screen for the Pokémon stats menus.
