Lick isn't Ghost confirmed. It's not really anything. A lot of Pokemon know Lick. He could be Poison with it, maybe. Or still pure Water. I'm on the Fighting boat, but idk many Fighting with Lick...

I like where you're going. But I'd hate the Weaknesses Chespin would have as Grass/Dark.

Grass/Ground Chespin would still have an advantage over Fennekin

I guess it's really just related to him obviously having a tongue. Seel only learns it through breeding and Simipour only knows it because all the monkeys do.

It's one of those generic moves that the Pokemon gets that's indicative of the thing it's based on rather than its type. e.g. Piplup and Torchic get Peck because birds have beaks, not because they're flying type, Turtwig gets Bite and Crunch because it's a snapping turtle, Cyndaquil gets Rollout because echidnas can roll into balls, etc. Froakie gets Bounce and Lick because frogs have long tongues and can jump high.

It's most likely going to be Fighting type because the leak has been right on so many things I may as well believe the starter types.
