Although it was confirmed that it was handed to Kurt so people would forget it. It was also stated the GS Ball had a Celebi, but it was decided to ditch the GS ball arc in favor of the 4th movie.

Dawn's fear of Plusle and Minun were explained in a flashback

Iris' fear wasn't explained but she's supposed to be BW's version of Misty and she's a Dragon-type user so you can get why
