Ash has Pikachu, Misty has Togepi, Youngster Joey has Rattata and Team Rocket has Meowth.

Almost every trainer has a Pokémon as a Team Mascot and usually acts as the star of the team, even though they are usually much weaker than the rest of the team.
I too have a Pokémon that acts as my team mascot, and compared to the rest of my team, clear stands out as a Pokémon that is out classed by the rest of my team, and that is Pokémon is Sudowoodo of all things.
When put next to the rest of my team, consisting a Blastoise, Typlosion, Sceptile, Gengar and a Scizor, you can of see how Sudowoodo is my Mascot.
Sudowoodo is quite literally the Pikachu of my team, cause he may not be as great as the rest of my team, his weird stat distribution and move pool make him a tough fighter. He has a fairly high ATK, but shit speed with decent defence stats.
Mine knows Wood Hammer, Hammer Arm, Stone Edge and Explosion. He holds a Quick Claw and has Rock Head, making him a versatile motherfucker.
