>>13460234The main thing (well one of the main things) that gets me about this is that they act like the Pokemon have somehow disappeared from the later games. The also put themselves and anyone else "born in the 90s" on a pedestal because they played the first Gen. "but we older fans deserve better" People like this deserve nothing. Their nostalgia clouds their judgement too much that anything other than the same things from the past will be inferior to them.
I wouldn't have a problem with these people if they could voice their opinions about these things without feeling the need to put down ever other generation of kids as if they somehow had a lesser experience than them. Each Generation of Pokemon is special to different Generations of people. Hell I grew up with the original games too. Yellow was the very first game I ever owned, and I have some fond memories of playing with friends. The difference is I can realize that just because it was a popular fad back then, doesn't mean my experience was any more valid or better than someone else playing for their first time
