I don't see how these are "overdesigned". They are actually pretty simple. Yes, they could be streamlined, but rather they are more elegant. It is sort of like a nice arm-chair. The wood has some engravings and they aren't super intricate but they are nice, but /vp/ is complaining that it isn't a folding chair.
