It had pretty good points, some of them being that Wally's team would've sucked when facing against the Frontier Brains and that his character would've had no reason for going. Plus there's the whole sickness thing that would've been an issue (especially for places like the Battle Pyramid and Battle Tower). Well, I doubt the author is going to ditch Wally right after the RS arc. I mean, Bill, Bianca, and Cheren had much bigger roles compared to their game counterparts, so I'm guessing Wally will come back once the plot connects back into Hoenn
when the RS remakes happen.
I don't mind Emerald now, though he was a bit annoying. I think of him like Max from the anime, the established naive little brother character, except towards Crys instead of May and much more useful. Basically, he's annoying, but tolerable.
