Most 'photographs' give it a sizeable hump on its back, which could be construed as a shell

The most commonly accepted theory is that if Nessie does indeed exist, she is likely a Plesiosaur, or a descendant of one. Pretty stupid, but she's a hunk of wood anyway, so there you go. And Plesiosaur (including Elasmosaurus, pictured) were, what do you know, dinosaurs.

I've always loved Lapras. Just a 10/10 Pokémon, good typing, great stats, fun movepool, awesome design..

And it's obviously based on the Loch Ness monster. Hell, it's Beta name was simply "Ness".

One of my all-time favorites as well. It's weird though, I've always been against giving it an evolution since it seemed unnecessary. But now that mega evolutions are a thing, I wouldn't mind seeing one for it (mainly since it's only temporary).
