Right now I'm trying to get a good Latias and the last one had 31 IVs in Special Attack and 26 in HP but everything else was bellow 5.

Assuming you're talking about Mawile, you'll probably get much more out of a defensive investment. I doubt 50 base speed will outspeed anything that isn't some shitty in-game trainer's mon.
Mawile is pretty all around shit but its two almost usable stats are attack and defense so you should probably adamant and invest in HP.

Just looked it up on Smogon and the standard sweeper/attacker/speedy set runs speed solely to outspeed max speed torterra (and anything slower which I suppose includes Marowak) but personally I think it's a wasted investment.
If you're going to sweep, you're going to sweep. Every sweeper has its counters. Mawile's counters just happen to be almost everything.

They get every fang move, just like Mightyena.
Your standard set will probably be Iron Head as main STAB, Sucker Punch priority, Fire Fang, and some other move.

My question: if the pokemon battling is holding, let's say, a macho brace, and has Pokerus, and defeats (for another shit example) a Patrat, does the Pokemon with the EXP share gain 4 EVs like the battler, or 1, like normal?

Well, usually I'm aiming just for 2-3 perfect IVs so it takes one or two boxes tops to get few usable pokemons. I also write down my breeding data like parents, number of eggs, time etc. I tried to do the same with this one, but I was pretty lucky from the start. First, mother recieved 31 SAtk and Atk out of nowhere (perfect Def was passed), then 2 times I was lucky and got 4 perfect IVs. Posted both. That hardy one had father with Spd and SDef, second one had the same mother and that hardy Ekans as a father. It took about 2 boxes of eggs and few hours total.

There have been breeding guides but it just doesn't go much further than:
Get a male with egg moves and/or nature
Get a female with the right ability (DW/Gen V.2 only) and/or nature
Put an everstone on 1 and a power item on another if it has at least 1 perfect IV (perfect IV meaning perfect considering the most optimal IV spread, it can mean 30 if hidden power or 0 in some cases). The only possible thing you could even think about at this point is putting the power item on a perfect stat the other parent doesn't have so you'll have more chance to pass both.
Upgrade parents until you've settled.

It really doesn't require any thought other than that.

The Power Item didn't change with BW2, the ability passing, everstone and MM'ing rate are the biggest changes but when I meant wrong stuff I meant wrong even for BW1 breeding. Hell I read it, it says 90% chance to pass down an IV, that at least is wrong.

Is that really a thing? Because I've been breeding profusely in HG/SS and I can't rule out of the possibility of it being true in Platinum but Bulbapedia says Power Item passing is the same in Pt/HG/SS/B/W/B2/W2 and didn't exist in D/P. And in my experience I've never had this. And obviously I can vouch for this not being the case for BW1 too.

I got it from Serebii, which has been wrong about things.

I've only ever bred one thing in SS to get an adamant avalanche curse slowbro, but both mons I was using for that had had perfect HP IVs, so I power itemed it for the hell of it just to make sure, but it also meant that even if it was over-written, I wouldn't notice it.

It may be wrong, honestly, I have no idea.

Yes, I know there's shitloads of image guides on the internet but not even one fully satisfied me. All of them are for mindless apes who just need to know what to do, but don't know why. Smogon has best guide I've seen so far, explaining everything mechanic related (IV passing section of image you posted looks shitty as fuck compared to what Smogon offers), but still it lacks explaination of things that aren't "pokemon mechanics exclusive" like probability theory and how to properly calculate chances. They simply give you already calculated values, like for stupid monkeys. And understanding and knowledge how to calculate probability is a key to efficient breeding.
Scrubs are bitching about how breeding is tedious. It's tedious only when you can't do it properly. As I've said before, you can breed whole team in just 6 hours TOPS if you aren't fetishist. I wanted to make thread every now and then with detailed breeding report, teaching how it works, how to do it properly to show that it's actually interesting (but who gives a fuck about brain training and satisfaction in times like these?) and not as time consuming as people think. I'd also give away some of IV breeded ones since usually I need just 1 or 2, and I'm often getting more than that. When I've been breeding for Wish HP Ice Jolteon, I got something like over 20 Eevees with at least 2 perfect IVs (Spd and SAtk) I don't need. Their only flaw is that they lack HP Ice. Few of them have nautral nature. I still have them if anyone wants.

It might be bad standard for you, but I don't see any sense in aiming for all perfect IVs while breeding for sweeper that is supposed to simply outspeed and OHKO enemy. Lot of great sweepers can be OHKO'd by most earthquakes, outrages, hydro pumps etc no matter how good or bad their defences/hp IVs are. 2-3 perfect IVs is simply enough.
And that's why if I'd start such thing, I wouldn't post here, but in entirely new thread.

That's really not true. Outside of knowing 2 IVs pass down from parents and for that reason you should pass down a perfect IV if the other parent doesn't have it with priority over a perfect IV both parent would have, there's zero thought necessary to efficient breeding.

Now that's complicated for several reasons. The first obvious one is not defining what a fetishist is, especially once you start browsing here a little bit. The second problem is you can
be much faster than that if you start having a decent collection of leftovers to work with, making breeding an investment on top of a time consuming task. Or much longer once you get your standards higher. Competitive battling is also done on the assumption that every single IV is 100% malleable, which brings the problem of where do you stop.
There are lots of bitching to be had about breeding, but I really don't think many of it results from people being clueless about it.

By fetishist I meant people who desperately want only female Gardevoirs etc, when in battle it doesn't matter, or hatch eggs in specific places for aesthetics, like me (Arcanine on that small Cinnabar Island, Scyther or Yanmega in Viridian City, Torterra in Blackthorn etc). Shit like this lengthen time it requires to hatch desired pokemon.

You don't need leftovers. Sometimes you can leave male for egg moves only. Catching 100 or something like this Dittos doesn't take much time, and in these 100 you'll probably get at least 4 different perfect IVs and most usable natures. I sacrified hour or two to catch about 200 Dittos and then picked the best ones for breeding. Now I can pass any usable nature, any perfect IV (2 or 3 of my Dittos have even 2 perfect IVs at the same time). The only thing I lack is Ditto with 30 SAtk for HP breeding.

I know how metagame works. I've been playing in MMORPGs for years. The thing is that pokemons like Yanmega, Alakazam, even Jolteon etc die to farts, and since all statuses, boosts, recovery and other shit is basing on %, not constant values it doesn't matter good or bad would be, for example, Hp IV on sweepers like these. You gotta be realist. Putting effort to pointless things is just stupid. But I agree that hybrids or tanks require better IVs than very specialized sweepers.

Then what is this bitching about? As far as I know, in gen5 there's even a place in which you can simply put something on button to keep it pressed down and your character runs around a pillar or something without you putting any effort to it. How can people bitch about tediousness when it doesn't even need your constant attention or even touch? You can easily watch TV/read while breeding in gen5. There's NOTHING to bitch about when you can breed efficiently without effort.

This is where the bitching really starts, because it really sounds like anything you would settle for would be absolutely laughed at here, if you think a sweeper doesn't need defensive IVs since "all statuses, boosts, recovery and other shit is basing on %" (I can only assume from that that your sweepers only take % damage and never any hits whatsoever, tell me how you do that). But even WFG standards have limits, people will often tell you it's okay if you're less than 5 IVs away from perfection here. Someone who RNG's will still tell you it's shit.

Your problem is you think people bitch about breeding because they don't know how to breed and it is in fact easy and fast. The truth is it's impossible to say it's easy and fast regardless of your efficiency for many reasons, but the one I wanted to say now is because IV standards are not universal.

And my point is that you don't always need 4 perfect IVs. The more uses pokemon has, the more perfect IVs it'll need. Metagross, which is bulky sweeper with lot of resistances will be worth getting good IVs in both offensive and defensive stats, but Alakazam, which can be OHKOed by almost ANY 40 base power priority attack, completly doesn't need defensive IVs. His job is to outspeed and OHKO, nothing more, so you could easily stop breeding when you get just perfect Spd and Satk.
Keeping leftovers simply lengthen breeding time because gender, egg moves, egg groups matter, also costs lot of box space. That's true, unless better IVs require more time/effort and almost don't help. I agree that IV standards are not universal, but you're wrong on the point. People are hacking because of certain reason. We had pokegen threads for years now and we all know that their excuse if tediousness, which includes boring actions like riding bike up and down and lot of time consumed. This is the point. So priority is to find balance between efficiency and quality.

Also I started to think about this project when I found 3rd or 4th post within 1 month saying that guy have read guides, but he still don't get it all.

EVERY Pokemon needs at least 3 perfect IVs in their defenses.
You never know when a sweeper will survive an attack with 1% HP or when those few extra IVs will turn that Scald into barely a 3HKO.

There's a reason it's called "settling". You're settling on something less than perfect.
If you're talking about competitive viability, you should never have any stat you will ever use be less than perfect.

And it's a perfectly correct reason. Telling those people you shouldn't hack because you could get shit with 2 perfect IVs if they knew how (which they most likely do, unless they know nothing about game mechanics) would be exactly like forcing your standards on people, which is one of the reasons why you cannot say breeding is fast.

No, you usually need 5. We have told you over and over that sweepers do get hit, they don't alway OHKO, they take switch in damage, they *need* to be able to survive neutral hits, or they are going to do dick all. Having low defensive IVs on a sweeper could be the difference between Starmie sweeping your team and you surviving to hit back harder.

An excellent example of this is actually the genie trio. Two of those are almost OHKO and the third is a complete OHKO by Starmie. Without those defense IVs, Starmie can OHKO all the time. The difference between switching in and taking out a huge threat and dying like a bitch to something you weren't strong enough to tank because you didn't have enough defense IVs.

Alakazam dies to a light breeze even with Max HP Def and Sp.D, that's why it wasn't even OU until Magic Guard. Sash is literally the only thing that makes it worthwhile.

Hippowdon doesn't need to outrun anything pretty much ever, so you can max attack hp def and sp.d and ignore speed.

Also you're not accounting for a ton of miscellaneous damage, such as something taking your attack and going for a 2HKO, or coming in on a bad prediction and taking a resisted or weak attack like bulky Rotom Volt Switch.

There's a whole myriad of situations you're just brushing aside here. Honestly I doubt you even have any real competitive experience.
At least, not with Alakazam or any other frail sweeper.

Dittos flexibility is what makes it more efficient. Both of us know that RNG plays a big role here. Having set of Dittos allows to make fixes any time with any pokemon. Dittos allow you to use potentially good pokemons, which because of RNG lack one thing, but got something else in return, as parents much more easily. It simply shorten eliminates lot of chain breeding.
Also it'd be nice to see how big is that margin in case of loss of ~10 IVs, ~20 IVs and all 31 Ivs. Estimation in % based on the most common situations, pokemons etc. If anyone would be that kind, I'd appreciate calculations.
And yes, it is some kind of enforcement. But you shouldn't be surprised, standarization is normal thing today. Smogon is all about standarization, all kinds of laws etc too. And I doubt that you think that, for example, smogon tiers, traffic regulation or metric system enforcement is bad idea. I believe that increasing "fail margin" for lowering hacking commonness is good deal. In the end it all comes to putting two things on the scales, in this case efficiency and quality.
You act like I was trying to force YOU to drop your standards. The point is to convince hackers to breed at least decent pokemons. Not great or perfect, but just decent, usable. Note that decency has only lower border. You can't be too decent or breed too good pokemon.

God no. Usually you run Giga Drain to deal with bulky waters like Toed and Jelli. HP Ground gives you a less useful move in exchange for being able to hit Heatran for more than 10% after 3 boosts.
If you think a kami is coming in then you throw your fire STAB and get an easy 2HKO.

Alright, I'll focus on the one thing that interests me here, although I still disagree with a lot of stuff, the idea of standardization.
As long as you don't come up with an universal breeding standard there's no way you can put any type of timer or estimation on weather or not breeding is long, or worth it. Which is a problem as such, but let's say there is one. I see 3 obvious problems.

1. If the standard is too high, breeding will be long and tedious, simple as that. The RNGer/hacker/WFG goer standard is just too high, at least. So you can only hope to make breeding a selling point if the standard is lower.

2. The amount of time consumed by a project highly depends on your breeding capital. If you have good leftovers, it won't take long. Your flock of Dittos grants you an advantage, although I think it's a small one. The thing here is breeding has a part of initial investment which cannot be neglected as it changes a lot of things.

3. The most obvious one, luck. Somewhere in a parallel universe some hacker you convinced to try breeding wasted his entire life getting a Timid Eevee with 2 perfect IVs and HP Ice and didn't get one

I'm used to liking 'mons that aren't all that good.
Ampharos, Politoed Since Gen2. He's another that throws me off when I hear about him being OU material, Piloswine, Poliwrath, you can see where I'm coming from?
By Gen4, I was basically into the mentality of most of the things I liked design wise being pretty...lackluster, competitively

I didn't know the language reverts when it evolves. Never did a whole lot of inter-language trade for that to come up I guess maybe I'm good then haha

The weird thing here is if you got an attachment to the name you shouldn't hesitate to ask for a nickname, plus that way you wouldn't risk people with funky language games.

Tell me, but honestly: wouldn't it be better if at least part of hackers dropped pokegen and started to breed these "slightly worse, but still usable" pokemons?

Dittos are such big advantage exacly because of luck. Also wouldn't it be nice if that unlucky former hacker could just trade something decent for that 2 IVs HP ice Eevee? I'm not checking this thread often so I don't know if you trade IV breeded pokemons for other IV breeded ones, or you just trade derps and everyone are breeding their own pokes.
