/vp/, what is your opinion of the music of the main game regions?

Pic somewhat related, but please don't go all "hoenn music sucks ugh trumpets lel". (Nobody really likes comments like "you have shit taste". It's just lame.)

Personally, I feel like Kanto and Johto share a similar original style that fit well together. Hoenn feels different from all other regions, yet original. Sinnoh seemed too kiddy for most of the songs, some exceptions. Feels like they tried to lend from Kanto/Johto while trying to hard to sound original, creating kind of a mess in some songs. Unova also had this flaw but much, much less. Sounds much more original, though whether it feels iconic (clearly memorable as Unova e.g. many years from not playing) like with the first 3 regions, I doubt it. As for the few songs currently heard of Kalos.. feels like they're pulling a Sinnoh in the style of Unova.
