is this a good team for the e4 in hg?
1.Poliwrath
2.Typhlosion
3.Ampharos
4.Fearow
5.Espeon

i'm not sure if any of my pokemon can learn an ice type move, and i tried using a piloswine but it learns shit moves and can't evolve until after beating the e4

also piloswine can evolve before the e4, get a heart scale from pokeathlon and teach it ancient power from the move relearner in blackthorn. the "not in national dex" rule doesn't apply here like it did in FRLG.
then get another heart scale to relearn ice fang because you're not using a special move on mamoswine
other than that your team is fine, grab a steelix in victory road to tank some hits/heal or revive if you're a pussy who uses items in battle and you're golden

i did the pokeathlon to get a water stone for my poliwhirl, not doing that shit again. i guess i'll get a steelix then

I beat the E4 with Typhlosion/ Ampharos/ Gyarados/Dunsparce

After BEATING them, my levels were 44/45/46/42

HG E4 isn't really a challenge as long as you can get an SE move against most of it.

(BTW, if it's your first time, a Gyarados with Dragon Dance, Waterfall and Icefang walls Lance.
His gyarados can barely hurt yours, you Dragon Dance up to max, give yourself a heal when appropriate, then use the best move out of Ice fang/ Waterfall when appropriate.)
