Okay tips.
Stay near the middle of a large grass patch as much as possible
Imagine a 9X9 square with you in the center, the 3X3 square around you is layer 1, the 5X5 square around that one is layer 2, the 7X7 square around that is layer 3, the 9X9 square around that is layer 4. Layer 4 is the safest to check to not break the chain, except for directly north/south/east/west on layer 4, those are dangerous. Anything on the edges of the grass patch or against a tree or something is also dangerous.
There are three types of grass. Shaking grass, hard shaking white grass, and softly shaking white grass. When you pick one to start the chain, try to stay in that one, stepping on the wrong kind can ruin your chain really easily. If you accidentally step on the wrong patch, and the chain doesn't break, stick to your new one. After about chain 10, I recommend sticking only to layer 4 for best chances. Buy every Super Repel in stores as well, pick a route with highest chance to encounter what you want to chain. If you don't see any spots you like, walk back and forth for 50 steps to recharge the Poke Radar. If all the active spots are off screen, then the chain automatically breaks, so try to stay in one area when resetting. After you reach chain of 40, keep resetting until you see the shiny grass. If you have synchronize on a poke with the nature you want, put that in the front of the party RIGHT before battle, 50% chance of the shiny having the same nature. Switch it back to the back RIGHT after catching it. After doing so, the chain won't be broken and you can continue to catch even more shinies.
